Legendary Zaha Hadid lives on through her timeless designs—an inescapable reality we were confronted by on a FvF Roadtrip through Austria when we came by the towering, yet graceful, fifty-meter tall Bergisel Ski Jump in Innsbruck Austria.
Its crystalline windows shoot up out of the ground thanks to a deconstructivist metal-plated stem, and gleam alongside the alpine snow not far behind the structure. A true credit to Hadid’s mastery of material, modernism, and context—it’s in these buildings that her legacy will long live on.
