Our friends the Bouroullec Brothers reimagined one of their iconic creations, the Cloud—a system of puzzle-like tubular vases which now elegantly fit together in the memory Zaha Hadid.
The installation was neither placed in their home country of France, nor Zaha Hadid’s nations of origin, Iraq and Britain, but rather in the place of her first built design, Weil am Rhein, Germany. There nestled in the Vitra Rolf Fehlbaum rendered in 1990, the Bouroullec duo trickled one-hundred and twenty flowers in their canisters along the concrete flour. Their presence alluding to Zaha’s curiosity for natural form and inclination to modern design.
