Do you have a track that you both return to when it comes to playing a set?
It has really differed over the years. At the moment, we always play something by Eden Burns—in the playlist we included his song Yes You Sexy. As A DJ, you would probably refer to this tune as a transition track or tool. You can pretty much play it at any point of the night, and it will always sound great when mixed with other tracks.

As founders of a record label, you are constantly surrounded by music. What captivates you as a listener when it comes to signing new artists?
When we sign new artists, we don’t have a procedure. We usually look for their unique approach to making music. We also enjoy stuff that is a bit out of the ordinary, maybe best described as leftfield with a pop appeal!

Describe a track or album that inspires you both?
Several LP’s this year were important to us—starting with Rosalia’s Motomami, which was kind of omnipresent in 2022. It’s such a good record, and the fact that it was commercially successful makes it even more impressive. It is a track that we have been playing a lot in the club. Then there are the LPs by Aiden Ayers, Bell Towers and Sofie Royer—all friends and crazy talented artists with a very strong artistic vision. We are very fond of these albums, and you can find a track of each LP in the playlist. We recommend you listen to the full records to get the bigger picture.

Describe a track or album that holds a lot of meaning to you
Since we are also talking about playlists and mixes here, we recommend THE KLF’s, Chill Out, a hugely inspiring studio album and one of the blueprints for our yearly Chill Pill compilations.

Finally, how did you select the tracks for this mixtape?
It’s a mix of stuff from artists on the label, friends, and classics (old and new). There is a bigger version of this playlist entitled PP Pool. It’s public on Spotify, and we update it regularly. But never forget, be an angel and buy music.
